Kitty asked:

can i start the course before getting a managerial job,it seems nobody employs someone who does not have experience and qualifications.

Answer:

Yes you can! Even if you are working as a senior care assistant or senior support worker, you can enrol now & start studying. The qualification has 25 units, comprising knowledge units, skills units, & combined knowledge & skills units, it takes you 18 to 25 months to complete everything. You start with the knowledge units & complete your assignments. Then move on to the knowledge parts of the combined units, & do the skills units last. By that time you would have moved on to a management job.

harriet asked:

can this be offered in a 24 month plan?also can we not receive a certificate until all payments have been made?can we fast track this in a few months

Answer:

Harriet, payment over 24 months is possible. An Assessor has to be paid to assess assignments. No Payment, No Assessments, No Certificate! You can fast track & complete quickly, if assignments are up to the Level 5 standard & without cheating. The full qualification requires 800 hours to complete & learners who want to fast-track are asking us to complete 12-18 months work in a few months. Fast track means intensive work & overtime for us & we require the remaining fee to paid in full upfront.

This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Jabeen asked:

How long does it take to complete the course?

Answer:

Between 12 and 24 months. It depends on the learner/student. Some people study diligently, do their assignments & assessments quickly & complete in as little as 9 months. And some people leave it unattended, maybe they expect the assignments to do themselves & it takes them longer to finish the qualification. So, in summary, how long it takes to complete the course depends on the diligence and consistency of the student.

i am not in employment at present but have experience in adult care and also i have managed a pre school in my previous job. can i still enrol. |

This is not a theoretical qualification; this is work-based qualification requiring assessment of current knowledge and current practical skills that show competence as a Registered Manager in a current CQC-regulated care service for adults. Managing a pre-school setting for children is obviously not the same as managing an adult care setting. The decision is yours to make, on whether to enrol or not. You know your situation. You need to be working as a manager in an adult care setting, either domiciliary care, residential care home, nursing care home, or health care setting, in England. If you are not working in any of these jobs then you won't be able to complete the competence parts of the qualification, as the assessment of skills and competence is done at work in a real job. FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
